New Visitor's Visa Regulation issued by the Chinese Consulate General in the Philippines

Effective 1 August 1999, the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China announced to all Travel Agencies that Filipino citizens who wish to travel in China should bring Traveller's Check.

The requirements for private tourist and visiting relatives visa (L visa) are:

  1. Round trip tickets;
  2. Sufficient traveller's check (USD 100 per day of intended stay);
  3. Invitation letter from the relatives of the tourist, whom he is visiting.

 

The requirements for group tour visas (five members and above) are:

  1. Invitation letter from the accredited Chinese travel agencies;
  2. Photocopy of the passport of the applicant, containing the information and the related revised information;
  3. Three duly accomplished application form.

 

The requirements for working visa (Z visa) are:

  1. Work Permit issued by the Department of Labor in China;
  2. Authenticated Invitation Letter.

(Note: All these requirements are needed by the Visa Office and the Immigration Officer in China.)
